Spontaneous Death Valley Visit

When I met my parents in Tonopah to drop Alaina off to them for her visit, we decided to go visit Death Valley.  Specifically Scotty's Castle.

Lunch unfortunately took forever so we didnt make it to the castle in time for a tour and we only got to look around for a half hour or so before they closed.

After they kicked us out of Scotty's Castle, we went over to Ubehebe Crater.  It reminded Alaina of the Grand Canyon, haha.

Then we drove very fast down the crazy curvy washboard dirt road to see the Racetrack.  We stopped at Teakettle Junction to take some pictures.  Dad used his machete to add his name to a teakettle left there.

Then we got to show Alaina the racetrack and teach her about how the rocks move all on their own and make tracks to prove it.

On our way out of the road from Racetrack we came upon a little car inching along the dirt road.  My Dad passed him and nearly ran him off the road.
This is what I like to call karma :)
It was a crazy spur of the moment trip but it was a ton of fun to hang out with my first born and my Mom and Dad for the day.
