Alaina applied to the Gifted and Talented Education Middle School Magnet Program.
To think she is old enough for this blows my mind. I'm not sure I'm ready for middle school. We know this will be a wonderful opportunity for her and we are excited.
She was asked to write an essay (150-250 words) about three words that describe herself and why. We told her to think outside of the box. I was thinking more along the lines of what her three words were, but she was thinking outside of the box with the format in which the essay is written.
She wrote a haiku for her essay.
She did it herself and it is quite good, if you ask me :)
