Our Holiday Kitty

"Last December I walked into the Humane Society and looked around. I knew there was a perfect cat in there somewhere, just for me and my family. Me and my sisters had saved up all our money to get a kitten. First we looked in the kitten section. We found two adorable kittens but they were already adopted. We walked around a bit and found two other kittens that were brothers, a little bit older than the other ones we looked at. They were very cute. We found another cat, and his name was Gizmo. He was eight years. We went into a private room with him and he was so cute and sweet. We decided he was older and we wanted a young cat. We went back to the kitten room and found two tiny black kittens.  We went into a room with one. We decided she was too tiny and my Mom didn't want a girl cat. We also saw brother cats that we only six months old. We decided we wanted our Dad to meet the cats we liked before adopting one.  We came back to the Humane Society again the next day with both of our parents to pick out a cat, but all our favorites had been adopted. We were really disappointed.  A lady that works there saw that we were sad and told us about some kittens that are coming in from the pound. She asked us what we wanted. We said we wanted a shorthair male that is orange. Can you believe it? There was a cat  exactly like that! We  waited a couple of days until he came to the Humane Society, and then we were able to meet him. At once I knew he was perfect. He came out of the carrier and all of us started petting him and he purred and was happy. We adopted him and brought him home.  Because it was right before Christmas, we named him Holiday Bonanza. From that very first day to now he makes us laugh and smile every day.  We all love our kitty very much."

This little guy has brought a lot of laughter and joy (and some scratches) into our lives.
