Sue's Baptism Day

Miss Braelyn Sue Rebekah was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 6th by her Daddy.  It was a day of smiles and happiness.  She was nervous and excited all at once.  We worked on preparing for this day for months, teaching her what it means to be baptized and what she is promising and what Heavenly Father is promising.  We answered her questions and quieted her fears.  She was hesitant because she didn't want everyone looking at her, haha.  But she did great and it was a beautiful day.

Eden, Alaina and Caylee sang "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" and Braelyn played the piano with Emily.  It was so so beautiful.
Since we couldn't take pictures during the actual program, we took one of them practicing.

For her program, Uncle Rand gave the Holy Ghost talk and the girls sang.  Daddy, Uncle Rand, both Papa's and Brother Ross were in the circle for her confirmation.  Sister Fisher welcomed her to primary and gave her a candy lei.

We were so grateful for all the wonderful friends who came to support Sue on her big day.

After the baptism we came home and Braelyn opened some gifts.
She got scriptures from Mom and Dad.

This was very special.
Alaina and Braelyn shared a blessing dress made by my Grandma.  I made Caylee her blessing dress and my Mom made Dash's little outfit.  I always felt bad that Sue didn't have her own blessing dress.  She's not the kind of girl to point it out and complain about it but I didn't know if there would be questions and hurt later in her life.  I love the poem "The Three White Dresses" and always felt like Sue should have her own first white dress.  To make her feel extra special, Gramma Susan made Braelyn her own blessing dress.  I wanted Susan to make it because we would have something made by her and also because Braelyn is Susan's namesake.
Now Miss Sue had her first two white dresses.

She was excited about it and thought it was really cool.

Happy Baptism Day Sue Sue.  It was beautiful and we are so pleased to be your Mom and Dad.
