Disneyland- Friday Morning

Nolan and Susan (Brets parents) took our family to Disneyland a few weeks ago (Nov. 9-10).  Nolan, who is a big Disneyland fan, has been wanting to take the girls for a while and the time was just about right this year.  When I told the girls we were going to Disneyland they were like, yeah ok, sounds fun.  So when I went to their website and showed them what Disneyland actually is, to say they got excited would be an understatement.  The drive down wasnt too bad, as we were excited to get there.  The girls and Dash were great in the van.  We stayed at the Best Western right across the street from the gates so it was way convenient.  They also had a fabulous breakfast in the mornings.  Enough blabber.
Onto the pictures!
Ready to go!  I made them each a shirt for the occasion :)

Our first stop was the Astro Orbiter.  Everyone liked it a lot but Caylee.  She kinda scrunched down in her seat as much as she could to feel safer.

After that we stood in line to meet the fairies only to learn that "Silvermist forgot her fairy dust and will be a little late."  So we left.

We headed over to the Matterhorn.  Me, Braelyn, Alaina, Nolan and Jena went on while Bret took Cay on the Alice in Wonderland ride and Susan stayed with sleeping Dash.  Braelyn loved loved the Matterhorn...

Alaina not so much!  haha.  This picture still makes me laugh.
Alaina traumatized by the Matterhorn.

Jena took Caylee on the tea cups while we waited for the Matterhorn.

So to calm things down a bit we walked over to the castle.  The girls ooed and ahhed.  Then we saw Snow White!  And Sleeping Beauty!

We were hoping she would give Dash a little peck on the cheek.  No such luck :)
We said our goodbyes to the princesses and walked through Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
Then we went on Mr. Toads Wild Ride.  We all went on that one, even Dash.
All the kiddos on the Toad Car.

Smooch.
We also rode Peter Pan's Flight.  I liked that one a lot because it flew over a little miniature London.  The girls liked it because the seats were in the shape of a pirate ship.

After that the girls, Dash, Jena and I rode the carousal.

While Caylee, Bret, Susan and Braelyn rode Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Nolan, Alaina and I went to see the fairies again.  Alaina really loves fairies   She has read all but one of the Disney Fairy books and knows a lot about them and such.  So we had to see them with her.  When we got back to the line it said there was a 45 minute wait.  The line worker guy recognized us from earlier and said we could go around the back since we had already waited earlier in the morning.  That was so nice!  So we walked right up to "Silvermist" and her and Alaina had a good long talk about all things fairies.  Later we learned from Alaina that that fairy wasnt actually Silvermist, her name is Periwinkle   So good job Disneyland, for mixing up your own fairies :)  My seven year old knew better than you!
See for yourself:
At any rate, wrong name or not.  Alaina loved it.

She also got to meet Tink.  Who...was actually Tink.

After that we all met up for a snack and then we went for a picture of the family in front of the castle.  Classic Disneyland picture right?  Have to have one of those.
Jena!
Juuuust for future reference....dont take your picture in front of the castle around 1 pm.  You will be blind, so will your children, and you will have terrible pictures.  Just fyi :)
My eyes are BURNING Mom!!!

Disneyland Castle Picture fail.

Then we went back to the hotel for a rest and some lunch :)
