ZION!- Emerald Pools

After the horseback riding we gathered up the rest of the family (who went on a sidecar ride through the tunnel) and headed out to see the Emerald Pools.

We lost Dash so many times on the bus.  Poor tired kiddo.

Because Dash wasn't waking up we let him sleep a little longer.  We all sat under this beautiful tree in the grass and hung out.

There are three levels of Emerald Pools.  After two days of hiking and camping the kids were only up for one level.  Dash cried all the way up there because he didn't want to walk.  Yay for Mommy!

But it was so worth it.  So much beauty.

We hiked back down and the kids played in the river for a little while.

This is my favorite picture from our trip.  The sun was going down and it was so gorgeous.

We went to a ranger program all about Coyotes.  Why I don't have any pictures of that I don't know.  Maybe my phone died.  The girls earned their Zion Junior Ranger Badges.  They were made of wood and very cool.  Now they have two Junior Ranger Badges.

The next day, Friday, we packed up and my Mom, Dash, Caylee and I got some souvenirs from the gift shop and Papa, Alaina and Braelyn went on a ride through the tunnel.  It took them much longer than expected.  We were about an hour late checking out and the ranger got a little cheeky with us.  It was such a fun trip though we didn't let a little grouchiness ruin it.

The kid's favorite parts of Zion
Alaina- Horseback riding, how the colors mixed, Weeping Rock because it was cool with the water falling.
Braelyn- the cat, the river and horse back riding.
Caylee- playing in the river
Dash- riding on the motorcycle and going on the bus

On Saturday everyone but Alaina headed home to be back in time for Wyatt Cecil's baptism and Alaina stayed for her week in Vegas.

Sigh, this always happens after a trip.  I wish there was a vacation clean up fairy.
